Emily's heart raced as she rushed to the forest, a cold sweat breaking out over her skin. Why hadn't she waited? She knew why, she wanted to get out of class. Potions was one of her favorite classes, but the classroom was so small and there were so many students in there, she felt like she was suffocating. Normally she cast a charm on herself to dispel that silly fear, but today she had forgotten to and it slowly got worse all period. She was the first one out the door as soon as the bell had rung, but she don't take in the before lunch rush and that made her even worse. She couldn't go into the dining room like that, her cheeks red and her eyes wide, so she fled to the forest, knowing the wide spaces and cool air would help her immensely.
So here she was, leaning against a tree, her books flung to the forest floor and breathing heavy. She sank to the ground and rested her head on her knees, calming herself by listening to the sounds around her. There is something definitely wrong with me if I can't handle a simple crowd. She thought.

Ehren blinked when a blur of blond and blue sped passed him towards the forest. His brows furrowed and judging by the length of the blonde blur, he assumed it was a girl. Brown eyes flickered towards the sky and he judged quietly that most of the school was out for lunch. Only few of the upperclassman were getting in some late studying or research, forgoing lunch all together. The young man frowned slightly, wondering what would cause a student to rush out of the school and he gathered what little he had outside (a quill, a half-written arithmancy essay, a novel) into his arms and followed the runaway student.
After a quick charm on his book and essay, Ehren shoved the shrunken book and essay into the pockets of his jacket and entered the forest. Gently touching his wrist to make sure his wand was in its holster, Ehren twirled his quill curiously and entered the forest, eyes on the look-out for the runaway. It didn't take very long to find her, all he had to do was follow the wreckage of branches and leaves. There she was, leaning against a tree, breathing hard.
"Hey, you alright?" Ehren called out, making sure that he didn't stand within hitting range but within viewing range. After all, it didn't hurt to be a little cautious.

Emily's head snapped up as she heard a voice near her and she looked around, spotting the owner of the voice a few yards away. He was in her house by the looks of the crest on his jacket, but she didn't think she recognized him. She stood and brushed herself off, grimacing at the dirk stains on her robes. Her heart rate was almost back to normal and the gentle breeze had cooled her face down. She turned to her things and winced as she saw the ruin of her things. In her haste she had thrown them to the ground and they had been torn up. She pulled her wand from a hidden pocket in the front of her robes and murmured a quick spell. Reparo. Her books and things flew back together in a new and orderly pile on the ground. She replaced her wand before turning back around.
She looked back to the boy and nodded to his question. "Yes. I'm fine. Just a bit flustered." A bit flustered yeah. Try semi-insane. She smiled some to reassure the other student. "I'm Emily. We seem to be in the same house, but I don't think we have ever met." She reached up to tuck a stray lock of hair behind her ear and took a deep breath.

Inwardly, Ehren gave a soft sign of relief. At least she was calm and not crying. He never dealt well with crying women, no matter the age. He stiffened slightly when he saw the girl pull out her wand. He relaxed when he realized she was just fixing her things. He looked her over and noticed the crest. Luminosity, fellow housemate.
"Yes. I'm fine. Just a bit flustered." she said. Ehren nodded, taking in her flushed cheeks and her smile. Personally, he wouldn't have said flustered, more along the lines of semi-frightened. "I'm Emily. We seem to be in the same house, but I don't think we have ever met."
"I'm Ehren," he answered. He gave her a slight smile and rocked back on his heels. "I think I'm a year ahead of you and I don't stand out much so I agree. I don't recall ever meeting you," He smiled a little wider and brushed back a few strands of hair before extending his hand. "Nevertheless, it's nice to meet you Emily."

"I'm Ehren" he said. "Nevertheless, it's nice to meet you Emily."
He extended his hand and she stepped foreword to shake his hand, the last of her uneasiness disappearing. She felt comfortable around him, a strange thing for her, but welcome none the less. "Its nice to meet you Ehren." She withdrew her hand and stepped back, not wanting to freak him out anymore. But hey who wouldn't be? She blinked and smiled a bit embarrassed. "I'm sorry if I freaked you out. It just that small spaces and myself don't really mix." Emily hated that part of herself and blamed It wholly on her older sister Jessica. On numerous occasions Jessica had locked her in a cabinet and left her there for hours, returning a few hours later and letting her out only if she would swear not to tell their parents. Or worse things would be administered. Emily shuddered at the memory, but smiled through it. She glanced at her watch and sighed some. "It seems I have to apologize again. Your missing lunch because of me aren't you?" She watched his face, studying his expression.

Ehren smiled slightly as Emily seemed to calm down around him. He rocked on his heels and tilted his head slightly to the left, observing the girl in front of him. She was pretty, a couple of inches shorter than he was. Since he wasn't exactly next to her, he assumed that she probably came to his chest; she didn't seem that tall.
"I'm sorry if I freaked you out. It just that small spaces and myself don't really mix." Ehren nodded in understanding.
"S'okay, water, swimming pools, lakes heck big bodies of water don't mix well with me," said Ehren, smiling still. He inwardly winced as the memory surfaced. An image of blue water, shattered ice, and frightened faces swept through his mind and Ehren shook it off. He kept his smile, even as he watched Emily shudder from her own inner horrors.
"It seems I have to apologize again. Your missing lunch because of me aren't you?" at her question, Ehren just shrugged.
"No problem. I wasn't all that hungry anyways," he admitted. "Besides, I've got an essay to finish and you seemed like you needed someone to lend an ear,"

She smiled some. "Oh well then I'm glad that you were here. Thanks for seeing if I was ok. Not many people would do that." He was right about needing an ear to talk too. Emily felt she could be really good friends with Ehren. He was shy like her, though maybe not to such a degree as she was. Another thing she blamed on her sister. Always forcing her to the side and overshadowing her. She bent down to scoop her books up and pushed those thought away for another time. She straightened and fixed her books in her arms so they sat comfortably. She looked back at Ehern and said, "Well, we could stay out here for the rest of lunch or we could go to the dinning hall. I'll let you choose since you were nice enough to check on me." It seemed this year she was fulfilling her wish. She was beginning to open up to more people and be more outgoing.

"Oh well then I'm glad that you were here. Thanks for seeing if I was ok. Not many people would do that." Ehren raised and eyebrow at her words, He slipped his quill behind his ear and locked his arms behind his head.
"Don't have many friends?" he asked. Whoops. Not exactly the question he was going to ask. The girl bent to pick up her books, scooping them into her arms and Ehren smiled weakly, "Ignore that question,"
"Well, we could stay out here for the rest of lunch or we could go to the dinning hall. I'll let you choose since you were nice enough to check on me."
Ehren shrugged. His arms dropped back to his side and he tapped his chin in thought. "Hm...Let's head to the dining hall. I may not be that hungry but you probably are, so there we go!" Without thinking, he slung an arm around the smaller girl's shoulders and grinned. "Off we go!"

Mikage decided to go to the Forest it was rather boring since she had her homework done. She happened to take a glance out of the window and sees Ehren heading for the Forest. She wondered what was he up to and then went to follow. Making sure she is out of sight she followed him and stopped when Ehren spoke Mikage looked ahead and saw the person he was talking to.
She watched the two interact with each other, but did not make a sound. It seemed the conversation was being relocated to the dinning hall. She waited until they had walked toward the dinning hall, she stepped from behind the tree she was hiding behind. "Ehren, there you are" she said in a said in a sing song.

Nick was slightly irritated as he trekked through the forest to find the one person he knew that would help him with his arithmancy homework. Normally, he wouldn't come close to the forest, not with its overly looping and sinister looking branches and the almost lack of sunlight in the woods (Okay, so the woods were a little bit brighter than his description but Nick never liked dark places...or small spaces, however, that would be another story for another time when he wasn't hunting for his friend), but today he was going to find Ehren and get the help so he wouldn't fail the essay...again.
He was sorely tempted to give up when a voice sing-songed, "Ehren, there you are."
Nick was pretty sure that next to his parents, his brother, the professors and Ehren, he knew that voice pretty well. Mikage! The adorable little sister to his partner in crime! Nick quickened his pace, heading towards the voice. He was pretty sure the younger girl was about to plot something; something embarrassing for his partner in crime and he didn't want to miss it.

"Don't have many friends?" Emily winced as he hit the nail on the head. She caught his weak smile. "Ignore that question," She waved her hand at him. "Its fine, but you hit the nail on the head. As you can probably tell I am shy. It almost a disability how shy I am." Emily blinked and was astonished at herself. She had never talked this much about herself to another student. Her astonishment was furthered when Ehern slung his arm over her shoulder as he decided to head to the dinning hall. She smiled easily though, her discomfort disappearing. Ehren was a great guy and she could see them being close friends.
They walked a bit when a younger girl stepped out from behind a tree. Emily studied her face, and decide that she looked a lot like Ehren. Then she spoke. "Ehren, there you are." The way she spoke was like a song and made Emily smile. By the look on her crest she was in Bravura house. There was a twinkle in her eye that made Emily think she was planning something. She smiled from under Ehren's arm. "Hi, I'm Emily."
ooc: sorry its not that good. DX

Nick was practically dashing as he sought for his friends. He didn't want to miss whatever it was that Mikage had for her big bro/his partner in crime. He leapt nimbly over a shrub and bounded into the clearing, practically almost on top of Ehren and the girl under his arm. His eyes widened and he skidded to a halt next to Mikage.
"Hey Mika! Ehren!" Nick was grinning almost ear to ear. He took a moment to observe the girl under Ehren's arm.
She was a small thing, shorter than Ehren, Mikage and himself with blond hair and blue eyes. A pretty little thing, he decided. And whatever chaos Mikage was planning, he wanted in.
[[Don't worry about your post. I thought mine was kinda meh...too. XD]]

Couldn't hold herself from smiling, she looked over her shoulder at Nick. Ehren was right where Mikage wanted him to be. She look and waved to Emily. "Names Mikage, nice to meet ya." it would be unfair to just leave her out of the festivity but it must be done. She pulled her wand out at which seemed to me sort of looking it over. She still have the smile on her face as she watches her wand. Trying to keep the conversation going abit. "So what are you guys up to?" She turned to Nick "oh and you as well seems you have a large amount of free time on your hands."

"You don't seem that shy to me," Ehren answered brightly as the two trekked on through the woods. She had been surprised from his abupt semi-hug thing but it seemed like she was warming up pretty quickly. It was then there were two disturbances.
Ehren blinked in surprise when two of his favorite people in the world practically materialized (Mikage) and exploded (Nick) into the clearing. Emily, who saw Mikage first it seemed, greeted the other girl and Mikage, in turn, introduced herself. Both her and Nick, who had arrived later with a cry of "Hey Mika! Ehren!" were grinning and Ehren felt a strange fear creep into his gut. The last time they grinned like that; Ehren decided not to think on that line anymore.
"So what are you guys up to. oh and you as well seems you have a large amount of free time on your hands."[/b]
There was something about the way she said those words and the way that Nick was grinning. Oh this wasn't going to be good. And Ehren was somehow pretty sure that he next words may have sealed their fates.
"What are the two of you up to?"

Mikage. Wow, what a pretty name. Emily thought. It fit the other girl perfectly, though she wondered if she should move away from Ehren, watching the devious look on Mikage's face. Just as Emily opened her mouth to speak, Mikage pulled out her wand and another figure lept gracefully into the small clearing where they were at, a giant grin on his face. "Hey Mika! Ehren!" He seemed to be good friends with the other students, but Emily kept glancing at Mikage and her wand. What was she going to do with it? She glanced at Ehren and watched his face go pale. Oh god, I think I outta move. She thought. Then Ehren spoke, a slight wave to his voice, "What are the two of you up to?"
Emily chuckled some and eyed the other two. "Eh heh, maybe I should let you guys go. You seem to need to catch up on some things." She started to inch away from Ehren, knowing that Mikage's wand plus the other boy's grin did not equal something good for Ehren and by a stretch (Emily was still under Ehren's arm) Emily herself.
