Jamie walked into the shop where she had never been before. She was procrastinating again and had thought of nothing better to do tha to get something to eat. It was actually quite unlikely that you would catch Jamie in a ice cream shop because she would generally eat very healthily. Well, unless you counted on nights out, filled with pizza and other muggle junk food. But Jamie had ran out of ideas for putting off her homework and had decided to just go wandering around until she found a cute little place where if someone caught her she could find a good enough excuse for not studying in the common room like she had promised most of her teachers earlier that day.
Today to Jamie the ice cream wasn’t just a way of putting off her homework, it was also to ease the fact that she hadn’t had a boyfriend in a while and she was beginning to get rather sick of them blowing her off. So basically this was a cure for a broken heart… sort of. Stood at the shop tapping her money off of the counter always seemed to annoy the people in the shop, she did it anyway. After a short while she got her farm fresh ice cream and paid the person with the money she had been tapping on the counter with.
A small smile crept over her face as she ate the first spoonful of ice cream in about a year. She had no idea why she was eating ice cream in October, but it seemed like a good idea. At least it was a good idea when she thought of it.
