Ehren was just walking. He never really had a purpose on where to go these days. His feet were leading him and his eyes was no where up and watching where he was supposed the be going. In fact, no portion of his face was up and watching where he was going; he was looking down at his book, chewing the end of a quill and attempting to scribble all at the same time. If anyone asked his family, they would know that Ehren wasn't much of a multi-tasker.
WHAM!
Ehren's eyes shot up too late and with a startled cry of surprise, he ran right into a tree. Immediately, everything dropped from his arms and he crouched, cradling his head in his arms. His head throbbed and everything seemed a little bit blurry but other than that, he supposed he was in one piece. Which, was more than his things; quill snapped between his fingers and book lying in the dirt.
"Ow," Ehren muttered. "Note to self: Never walk without looking at where I am going again,"

JAMIE!!! OutfitJamie stared into the depths of her closet. She couldn't find anything right for the weather. It was unbelievably warm for September and most of Jamie's summer clothes had been shipped home, exchanged for her much warmer but still cute fall clothes. That's when Jamie remembered the shorts she had kept. She had been planning on wearing them with leggings, but they would be perfect for today. She grabbed the short short Abercrombie shorts from the drawer in her dresser and grabbed a white Juicy Couture t-shirt. She added some gladiator shoes and other accessories. She looked in the mirror and was completely satisfied. She fluffed her hair, grabbed her phone and headed out. Jamie was late, so she decided to take a short cut through the garden. Not that she really cared about actually getting to school on time, but she at least wanted enough credits to get out of the hellhole they called Salem. Why couldn't her parents be normal and just send her to muggle school? She would have been a thousand times happier. But then she wouldn't have been with Lizzi. All of this was running through Jamie's head as she noticed a boy sitting on the ground in front of a tree, nursing his head, a broken quill and a book lying next to him. Jamie put two and two together and realized the boy must have smashed his face into the tree. She rolled her eyes and walked over to him, lending him a hand. She said a quick spell over his quill, causing it to snap back together. I'm Jamie, she said. And you appear to be a klutz. She glanced down at her phone. She was now officially late for class, so she guessed she could spend a few minutes more out here with the kid. Better to skip class entirely than be reprimanded for being a minute late. Words: 316

"I'm Jamie," a voice said. " And you appear to be a klutz,"
Ehren's head shot up when he heard the voice, biting back a grimace as his head swam painfully. His eyes watched for a moment as his quill mended together and he blinked blankly before looking up at the person. It took a moment before it clicked in his head it was a girl. His cheeks pinked.
"Thanks," he mumbled before pulling himself to his feet. He flicked his wand out and summoned his things to his arms. He gently prodded his nose and decided it wasn't broken; a little tender but not broken. He gave her a smile. "Yeah, I'm a little bit of a klutz. I"m Ehren, Luminosity, seventh year,"
He shifted his weight, inwardly grimacing when the conversation seemed to hit a dead end when it hadn't even started very long. He hated his social skill, or lack thereof. Ehren titled his head slightly as he observed the girl. She looked younger than him and he was pretty sure he saw her in the halls once. A name floated into his brain...no wait. She just told him her name. Jamie...right.
"Any relation to an Elizabeth with your face?" he asked, the question fleeing his mouth before his brain registered it.

JAMIE!!! OutfitJamie smiled when the guy said that he was in fact a klutz. He introduced himself to her. Luminosity, huh? That explains the book smarty-pants. I'm in Dissemblance, sixth year.Any relation to an Elizabeth? he asked. She smiled broadly. Yeah, Jamie replied. Lizzi is my little sister. But she shouldn't be hanging out with big seventh years like you. My goodness, I'm going to have to talk to her. She laughed. Just kidding. Liz can hold her own. You, on the other hand, might just not be able to. So what class were you heading off to in such a hurry? Jamie asked. As she waited for his answer, Jamie looked Ehren up and down. Despite the obvious klutziness, the guy wasn't too shabby. He had really pretty eyes and swoopy hair that hung down over them. He was the type of guy in the looks department that Jamie would totally date. And he had the right sort of demeanor for her, too. She liked geeky guys since they were the ones who could typically rake in the dough. And she would like to marry someone like that. Someone who could totally give her her four little girls and the money to raise them with no problem. All of a sudden, Jamie found herself falling for the guy. That was weird. She typically fell for the really hot ones with great bodies. But as she thought harder, she could see herself spending the rest of her life with this guy, which was much more than she could say for most. Ehren seemed like the type of guy that Jamie could share her every thought, every wish with. He was the type of guy that would never give her shit about spending too much or not working, just being a stay-at-home mom. All this in the two words he had said to her. Jeez. Words: 318

Ehren's eyebrows shot up to his hairline when he heard her words before they furrowed as he registered her teasing. His cheeks darkened at her teasing and he listened to her laugh. It was a nice laugh, not at all malicious or evil sounding. He looked down at his book then his eyes flickered towards the tree he had just hit. He smiled faintly, shifting his weight to his heels as his stance turned a little more comfortable.
"Just kidding. Liz can hold her own. You, on the other hand, might just not be able to."
He was only half registering her words now but he did catch something about her sister holding her own and he, not holding his own. Ehren raised an eyebrow and laughed softly.
"We'll see right?" he answered in response.
"So what class were you heading off to in such a hurry?" now this question he heard completely and he looked at her.
"Nowhere. It's my off hour," Ehren grinned slightly.
As he debated what to ask next, he continued to observe the girl. She was smaller than his 5'11 height, coming somewhere to his chest, 5'6" or 5'5" he assumed. She was pretty, with dark hair, dark eyes and a beautiful smile...wait, where'd that thought come from? Ehren smiled, showing nothing to his train of thought and ran a hand through his hair.
"So, what class are you obviously ditching to talk to lil' ol me?" Ehren asked brightly.

JAMIE!!! OutfitWe'll see, right? Ehren asked. If that wasn't flirting, Jamie wasn't sure what was. Jamie had heard the We'll see line too many times to count. But it was different coming from Ehren, almost as if he hadn't meant to say it, but now that it was out there, it was fine. So Jamie decided to take the first step. I guess we will see. You, me, Saturday night, dinner at that pizza place. Sound good to you? she smiled sweetly, the kind of innocent smile that totally turned guys on when she was wearing her Luscious Lips Sparkling Strawberry lip gloss and just the right amount of eyeliner and mascara. She couldn't help seeing the way that Ehren's cheeks darkened. It was absolutely irresistible to Jamie. Let's see, what class am I skipping? Defense Against the Dark Arts. Or transfiguration. Something like that. I honestly can't remember. And she honestly couldn't. She never could remember what class she was skipping. It was the last day of school last year before she remembered her whole schedule. This year, she vowed to never learn it, just to keep it handy on the off chance she decided to go to school. Off hour, huh? I'm pretty sure I didn't get one of those. Hmm. Maybe it's a seventh year thing. Or maybe you have to attend some classes. Every hour is off hour for me so it doesn't really matter. She laughed. She probably sounded like such a slacker to Ehren, but then again, she was a slacker. And just like that, Jamie was off again. She couldn't believe how hard she had fallen for the guy in a matter of minutes, but there she was. She couldn't think, couldn't hardly speak. Love is quite an overpowering feeling. Whoa. Where did that come from? Strange. Words: 300

Ehren blinked as her words filtered to his brain. “I guess we will see. You, me, Saturday night, dinner at that pizza place. Sound good to you?” Did she just…what? His brain seemed to short circuit and he blinked blankly again.
“Wait, what?” he finally managed. She was smiling at him, cute and innocent. Ehren’s brain wanted to fizzle. His blush returned and he shifted awkwardly. Wow, this was sudden. He wasn’t even sure they spoke for very long. Maybe what, 10 minutes?
He didn’t seem to hear the rest of her words as his mind fumbled for an answer. She was saying something about her class and schedule and something about his off hour.
"Yeah, off hour," he mumbled absently. Ehren blinked and his thoughts finally caught up with the conversation. Oh wait, his thoughts were exactly on track and his mouth ran before his brain could catch him.
"You weren't slipped Amorentia were you?" was the next thing he asked and he cringed at his lack of tact. Great going Ehren. He shifted awkwardly again and rubbed the back of his neck. That wasn't what he wanted to say...actually, he couldn't remember what he wanted to say. Great going Ehren.

JAMIE!!! OutfitJamie could tell from the second that he said Wait, what? that Ehren was in. He didn't know it yet, but she totally had him in the bag. You weren't accidentally slipped Amorentia, were you? he asked her. She laughed. Nah, Jamie replied. I'm totally clean. She smiled. So what do you think? Pizza on Saturday? Maybe a movie afterwards? I'd love to hear more about your klutziness. But now I have to get to class. She pulled out her schedule. Math. Darned these muggle classes that we have to take. She rolled her eyes. Call me by Friday. She grabbed his hand and scribbled her number in pen on his palm. Bye! Words: 113 Notes: Sorry about the shortness. Closed?

Ehren didn't seem to process anything and she smiled at him. She was talking and at the very least, even though he wasn't talking, he comprehended her words.
"So what do you think? Pizza on Saturday? Maybe a movie afterwards? I'd love to hear more about your klutziness. But now I have to get to class." She grabbed his hand and scribbled something in the middle of his palm. He looked down at his palm and saw a number in glittery ink. He blinked again.
"Right, Friday," Ehren answered. He looked at her, the number on his hand and smiled.
Ehren laughed slightly to himself before looking at his book then at the tree. Who knew walking into a tree would be beneficial?
Notes: Closed but you can post one last one if you want to Jamie.
