Emily found herself at the library one evening, stacks of books piled around her, hiding her partially from view. She often found herself in the library, like a good luminosity student, but not alone. It was sort of late, not late enough for everyone to be asleep, but late enough that no one was in the library, save for herself. It was this time of day that Emily like to come here to study, away from the bustle and loudness of the Luminosity common room. Though during the day it was a nuisance to be in the library as well. Full of student whispering and giggling and doing everything but their studies, and lets just say Emily didn't enjoy listening to the girl escapades of a arrogant boy, while trying to write a scroll on the difference between two potions.
The lamps were turned down low, but still light enough to read by, lending a much more inviting atmosphere to the room. A small sigh escaped her lips and she folded her arms on the table top, resting her head upon them. Her eyes slipped shut and she recalled seeing her sister earlier. It had left her feeling drained and wiped out, definitely not in the mood to read up on potion recipes, but she had too for the test coming up the next day. She sighed again and turned her head some, a few lock of blonde hair falling across her face, tickling her cheek.

Casper 'Echo' Estilli_____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________ Casper had just gotten his Defense Against Dark Arts test back and as usually he got nothing wrong, his professor told him that they were going to have a harder one tomorrow so he had best study so he can get a perfect score again. Casper worked hard in school, not as if he was a nerd or anything but because it would bring him closer to his ultimate goal; to be the greatest wizard ever. Actually it wasn't a goal, it was his destiny, he was born solely for the purpose of being known as the best. Defense Against Dark Arts was the class that he did the best in, he didn't really like it that much though, seeing that he was interested in the opposite; Dark Arts. As Casper walked into the library he noticed not many students, less than usual, and one student stood out in particular to Casper.
It was a girl from his house, he recognized her as Emily Walker. She was the sister of a Dissemblance girl. Casper was always fond of her but never summed up the courage to talk to her face to face. What a better time than now he thought. Casper walked in her specific area, got a random book off of a near by shelf that had nothing to do with D.A.D.A and walked over to her. "You mind if I sit here?" Casper asked referring to the seat at the table she sat at. Casper thought it common courtesy to ask before doing so
Casper knew she probably was thinking that there was so many emprty seats why would he sit by her. Casper never tried to cover anything up really and never really let it out openly. If you had given the time to think about it, you would realize that Casper liked Emily.

The door to the library opened and Emily could hear the soft footsteps of someone walking around, but didn't bother to lift her head to see who it was. She focused on her breathing slowing it down to th beat of her heart, pushing out all other thoughts in her mind, just trying to not think. Whoever said high school was easy, magical or muggle, needed to be found and shot in Emily's personal observation. She sighed again and opened her eyes, staring at the book across from her, not really seeing it though.
She was so unaware of her surroundings, that she didn't hear someone approach her table until a voice was cleared from somewhere above her. She sat up,tilting her head up to take in the 6 foot figure in front of her. It was Casper Estilli. A student from her own house, though she hadn't ever met him, she did have a few classes with him, despite him being a year ahead of her. Emily blinked and nodded in response to his question. "Sure." She said quietly, moving some of the books around her elsewhere. She frowned a bit as she moved a few books to her right, her eyes glancing over the practically empty room. Plenty of other seats, but he chose with her. Maybe he wanted some company. She shrugged mentally and turned to him, smiling. "Your Casper right? I don't think we've ever met."

Casper 'Echo' Estilli_____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________ Casper wasn't sure that she would accept him to sit with her, but it seemed as thought that was just his low self esteem talking. In other scenario's Casper would be as over confident as ever but his persona changed a little bit. For once he felt a little doubt in himself. Casper smiled as Emily let him sit near her. Casper thought she might have recognized him the way he did her, but it was a huge school. But, she did see him before nevertheless.
"Your Casper right?" Emily asked. Casper nodded before saying "Yep, and you're Emily...Emily Walker." Casper said. Casper then pushed his book aside and pulled out a paper and pencil instead which he had in his cloak. He always kept them around just in case he got inspiration for a poem and that was just what happened. Casper was the type of poet that looked at something and fed off of the image to write a poem just how a painter looks at an object and paints it.
"A special world for you and me A special bond one cannot see It wraps us up in its cocoon And holds us fiercely in its womb.
Its fingers spread like fine spun gold Gently nestling us to the fold Like silken thread it holds us fast Bonds like this are meant to last.
And though at times a thread may break A new one forms in its wake To bind us closer and keep us strong In a special world, where we belong."
Casper quickly wrote this in a matter of seconds. "So, what are you studying?" Casper asked Emily, hoping that she asked about the poem he had just wrote.

She nodded. "That's me." As Casper sat down, folding his long limbs underneath the table, she wondered what the hell the wizarding families were feeding their sons that made them grow so big. Casper was at least 6 feet tall, compared to Emily's own 5"5' stature. When his knee bumped hers, she smiled and moved her legs to the side, making room for his. As you can imagine, the tables weren't that big.
At his question of what she was studying, she grimaced as she looked down at the book in front of her. With a flick of her hand, it snapped shut and she rested her elbow on it. "Just stuff for my potions test tomorrow. Not my best subject but not my worse." She shrugged some, brushing some hair out of her eyes. She didn't really need to study, she had a phonographic memory, but it eased her mind when she did, telling herself it was so she wouldn't forget. And it took her mind off things.
She looked back at Casper and found he was writing furiously, his large hand darting across the paper, writing something down the margin of the page. Emily leaned foreword to see what he was bent over, but as quick as he started writing it, he was done and his head came back up, staring at her. She stopped moving, caught in being nosy. A faint blush crept up her cheeks and she leaned back, looking down at the table briefly, before looking back at Casper. She chewed on her bottom lip, a bad habit of hers and spoke again. "So what were you writing?" Looking at the paper again, and back at him. She was still a little embarrassed that she had been caught, the blush still lighting her cheeks.

Casper 'Echo' Estilli_____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________ Emily had responded to Caspers question of what she was studying, Potions...his Potions class was easy but he hated it. He much preferred D.A.D.A and transfiguration. He was told by many professors that he should pursue the career of an Auror but it just didn't seem fun to Casper, so he simply disregarded it as a plan in his life. Casper smiled at her when he caught her trying to take a peek at the little poem he had recently made. He had no problem with her seeing it though, afterall she gave him the inspiration to write it anyway.
"So what were you writing?" She asked out of curiosity. Casper looked down at the paper and then back at her. "Oh this...its just a little poem." Casper said. Casper said pushing the paper over for her eyes to behold. "I look at things to give me inspiration to write, you inspired this one." Casper said resting his pencil down on the table. Casper looked at her hoping that she would find it nice, Casper was sure that he was good but not as sure that she would like it.

.::. "Oh this...its just a little poem." Casper replied as he slid the paper toward her. She picked it up, her eyes scanning it and as she did they widened slightly. It was really good. Emily wasn't much of a writer, she preferred painting, but his words clearly painted a picture in her mind. Then he spoke again and his words made her blush even more. "I look at things to give me inspiration to write, you inspired this one." She ducked her head and smiled some. No one had ever told her that she inspired them and it was very flattering. She handed him back the paper with a smile and said."I don't know about inspiring you, but this is really good." She smiled again leaned back in her chair. Then she realized where she recognized where she had seen Casper before. "Casper Estilli. The quidditch team." She shook her head. How could she not recognized her own team member? She smiled sheepishly. "Now I feel dumb."

Casper 'Echo' Estilli_____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________ Casper smiled when he noticed her blush a little, Casper felt a relief when she said tha it was good. If she thought that was good, he could have imagined what she would have said to some of his other poems he had writtem over the days. Emily had leaned back in her chair and smiled at him because she had just fully recognized where she knew Casper from, on the quidditch team. Everyone forgot something once and a while, the were both on the quidditch team and both chasers.
"That's right, Chaser just like you." Casper said before laughing. Now I feel dumb. She said. Casper had to admit that he just remembered the quidditch thing as soon as she mentioned it. "Well everyone forgets sometimes, so...what are you doing after you leave the library?" Casper asked hoping she would say tat she had nothing planned. Then everything that Casper was thinking right now would fall into place.

.::. Mentally Emily banged her head against the wall. How could she forget a fellow Chaser? There was only three of them for cripes sake! She just smiled and shook her head. "I'm sorry. I completely spaced on that." She felt bad now. Casper just laughed and replied, "Well everyone forgets sometimes, She smiled sheepishly and replied, "Yeah well its a bit embarrassing to forget your team mate." She laughed some, her blush finally disappearing. The lamp on her table flickered and stuttered as Casper asked her another question. "so...what are you doing after you leave the library?" She blinked and thought briefly what she need to do, but realized she really didn't have anything pressing that need done. "Uh nothing actually. Why, do you have something in mind?" She teased, feeling a bit bold. She had never acted this way before and she kinda liked the new Emily that was emerging this school year.

Casper 'Echo' Estilli_____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________ "Yeah well its a bit embarrassing to forget your team mate." Casper laughed at this, well it was kind of true but still there was no hard feelings. Casper couldn't count how much people he forgot who they were over the years. Casper had asked Emily if she had anything planned for the evening after she left the library and she stated that she didn't really have anything.
"Uh nothing actually. Why, do you have something in mind?" Casper widened his eyes slightly at this and smiled at her boldness, to him she didn't seem like the person that would do soething like that. But Casper liked that in a girl, a sense of unpredictability.
"Well, umm...I just wanted to know if you wanted to grab a bite or see a movie or somthing... or we could just stay in here and talk some more." Casper once again doubted himself, thinking that she would decline his request. Caser was never really like this, he even displayed a little shyness toward her, this was almost hard to believe.
Casper was the most over confident person you would meet, the shyness part wasn't that unbelievable though. He had forgotten all about his studying at this point, as if he needed to.

.::. "Well, umm...I just wanted to know if you wanted to grab a bite or see a movie or somthing... or we could just stay in here and talk some more. Emily was a little shocked. His offer came from left field. But it made her smile and she nodded, accepting. "A bite to eat sounds good." Another thing Emily didn't normally do, accept offers from guys that she thought wanted more than some shy bookworm. He seemed hesitant around her, shy even, and Emily found she like that part of Casper. Now that she remembered him, memories of qudditch practice came back to her and she remembered how he acted confident and arrogant even. This was a refreshing look in the complex person that was Casper Estilli. She smiled at him and watched to see how he react.
