Nick let out a low, quiet whistle and he looked almost amused at them. To think, all of this happened because Ehren's words didn't come out as right as he would have liked. Oh, and his untimely appearance he supposed. It was like trying to put out a fire with a fan that wasn't strong enough to blow it out and it only fanned the flames.
Now the question was...help Ehren get the two of them out of this mess or...leave Ehren to fend for himself and flee quickly. After all, Rockwell's last comment seemed to be addressed to Ehren anyways. ...Ah, who told him to be his best friend.
"Hey, this started because you mentioned the summoning charm!" Whoops. That wasn't what he wanted to say. Oh well, into the fire he supposed. "And Ren did tell you that both the ladder and the charm has its good points and bad ones!"

Ehren groaned when Nick leapt to his defense or rather...he tried to. The boy sighed and said in exasperation, "Nick, shut up."
He turned to Sarena, ignoring his friend behind her and said, "Well I suppose I'm going to apologize for being a, as you put it, a rude ass. I also suppose that this escalated because of Nick's untimely appearance and my somewhat hostile tone regarding the summoning charm and the ladder." He shrugged. "I'm sorry. And I do appreciate you getting the bookshelf off me when you did."

sarena was beginning to be rather annoyed by this nick person. weren't people in demurral supposed to be all nice and quiet?
her annoyance simmered down when she heard ehrens apology. "it's alright, i mean, i was probably being a bitch too. i was actually impressed that you had the guts to talk to me like that." she said with a smirk, totally ignoring the other boy, who really irked her.

Nick was pretty sure that the girl was annoyed with him. He was also really sure that Ehren was irritated with him. It was clear from the way he had said, "Nick, shut up," He was just trying to help.
He crossed his arms and returned to leaning back against the bookshelf, crouching for a moment to pick up the book next to his feet. He was sure he would never be good friends with this Rockwell twin but at the very least, he found the book he was looking for. Nick returned to watching. At least she apologized to one of them.

Ehren smiled faintly, knowing that Sarena's annoyance was going away somewhat at his apology. Well...her annoyance at him anyways. Not to Nick. In fact, he was a little bit annoyed with Nick himself. Way to make a possible situation worse by yelling at he girl instead of calmly explaining. Well, it was his friend after all. Sarena said something and Ehren blinked.
"Impressed because I had guts to talk to you like that?" Ehren asked with a raised eyebrow. That comment confused him somewhat. He didn't think that anyone would have trouble talking to her or reprimending her. But...then again, she was the Headmaster's daughter. That had some claim to fear the girl. "So...people don't engage you in normal conversations? Outside of Dissemblance?"
Well...Nick had issues engaging her in normal conversations but Ehren blamed the situation.

"people don't normally have the guts to talk to me like that, because i'm the headmasters daughter, and i know how to do some....powerfull things." she said, hinting but not admitting her interest in dark magic. would this luminosity boy be on her side?

Nick found himself frowning as he listened to her and Ehren. It wasn't the topic so much that bothered him. It was the way that Sarena hinted at something. Something either really evil and dark or really strong on her part. She had quite a gathering of people behind her, Nick will admit that much. Sarena Rockwell had the talents to become a leader easily. "well normally, i only talk to people in dissemblance. but i have a new good friend in your house. emily walker, you probably know her."[/b] Nick jerked back to reality when Sarena mentioned Emily Walker. He made a rather strangled sound in the back of his throat and then proceeded to choke. He coughed and looked at the ground to prevent flying spittle. He was pretty sure that Ehren was looking at him with amusement, knowing the reason behind his sudden fit. The whole situation involved one lunchtime, Ehren's sister Mikage, Ehren, Emily, charmed water balloons and hexes. [[See Thread: I Need to Get Away]] |

sarena looked around at nick. she really disliked him. ehren wasn't her favorite person either, but she could at least have a conversation with him. but nigel or whoever the demurral student was, was making obnoxious noises.
"um...are you alright?" sarena said, annoyed.

Ehren couldn't help but grin when Sarena mentioned Emily. The younger girl was a nice lass. He remembered the day they met, although with what had occurred, it would have been rather hard to forget. As if on cue with his thoughts, he heard choking and he turned to see Nick coughing and hacking up a lung.
He snickered. "We know Emily. Although I think that Nick got to know her spell work more than Em herself," Ehren snickered again. "Our first meeting with Em involved water balloons, my pranking sister, and the full-body bind."
"And don't worry Sare, he's fine,"

sarena laughed when she learned that nick was hexed by emily. "emily is a good person, i like her. she's probably one of the only people i like outside of my house. what if found is that i mostly dislike everyone in bravura.....how about you?"

Ehren smiled slightly at remebrance of that day. He hexed Nick himself too if he remembered correctly. The tall boy shrugged. "I don't have an issue talking to people outside of my house. That allows me to make more friends I guess,"

Nick raised an eyebrow as he watched the preceedings. He scowled for a moment when Ehren mentioned being hexed by Emily and he snorted. He remebered that day too. Ehren also hexed him. Sarena seemed nice...enough but Nick himself probably would't get a long with her very much. She seemed too...decieving. Probably thanks to her weird ideals.
Nick never cared too much for ideals. He listened and agreed with Ehren. Talking to people outside of his house created opportunity for new friends. That and you got to understand potential enemies better. Nick bent and picked up his book, flipping through it and wondered if Ehren or Sarena would addresss him.

"It's not that I'm not up for making friends, I mean, you can never have too many friends. I've just found that I don't get along with many people out of my house. Maybe their scared of me or something." she said, looking around, not really seeing anyone she found interesting.

"Scared of you?" Ehren took a step back, blinked for a moment when he backed into the shelf before he looked the girl in front of him over. Sure, he knew that her reputation wasn't the greatest, something about the Pureblood Unity Revolution Exclusivity or something like that and something about equality. He tilted his head and took her in. "I don't see why someone would be afraid of someone like you. You don't seem very frightening."
Ehren knew that from what she was hinting at earlier, at their almost duel, the girl in front of him was probably dabbling in some dark arts and all but still...better to be cautious around this girl.
